An introduction

A significant proportion of the population has sensitive, easily irritated skin, which develops an allergic reaction when put into contact with certain extraneous substances (antigens). This is most often the result of an ano-maly and/or malfunction of the organism's immunity system, and results in the manifestation of contact or photosensitive allergic reactions. The trigger substances, which are responsible are very diverse, and can originate in many different sources. Although it is impossible to mark out precise guidelines in this field, as there are so many variants, investigations carried out by PREDIGE have led to the establishing of a specialised, cosmetic line, conceived to limit any risk of an allergic reaction to a strict minimum.
